ABOUT YOU

You have an academic degree in engineering or equivalent and several years of experience in contracting and/or consulting and/or owners role involving construction projects. You have experience of procurement processes and design development and/or design coordination of a project. Communicating confidently and clearly in English and developing people is in your scope. Additionally you have experience within the retail sector. Experience from either or both Ingka Centres, CFF & Stores and other Ikea formats is an advantage.
You have knowledge of following:
• project management including quality and risk
• construction management, Ingka standards
• design management throughout the project development
• technical Due Diligence methods and tools
• sustainable construction and building performance principles
• construction materials, engineering solutions and life safety & property protection systems (e.g. fire protection systems) (company specific and local/national)
• tools for timeline-, document- and design management and other common software
• cost control principles
• local and national authority permission process, construction market, development & trends
• construction Health, Safety and Environment that is compliant with IWAY and national safety and environment standards
• Ingka and local construction and design contract types, included a basic knowledge of the most common legal issues and claims

ABOUT THE JOB
You will lead the development of one or several key competence areas within the Engineering business area. You will align the implementation and communication towards the Clusters. You will always strive to assist the Cluster team to develop into high performance teams. This will be always carried out with a best for project focus.
The current key competence areas includes:
1. Structural and Architectural Design
2. Fire and Risk Engineering
3. HVAC Systems and Energy Modelling
4. Electrical Systems
5. LCC & LCA calculations
6. Technical Solutions and Innovations for PPP & BREEAM
7. Design Management: Procurement, Development and Coordination
You will:
• develop the engineering competence in Ingka in cooperation with relevant stakeholders and supporting functions in order to achieve the Ingka Real Estate scope
• lead, coordinate and document the work to develop, implement and maintain standards, guidelines, methods, tools, technical solutions, systems, sustainability best practise and innovation within your key competence area/s
• optimizing the delivery of our partners and stakeholder's competence and knowledge into the project design. Work and engage closely with Project Delivery team and Group Procurement to optimize, innovate and develop the best for project methods for design-construct interaction
• work with the business owners (Group Expansion, Centres and CFF) and other Ikea stakeholders to develop methods to efficiently identify the relevant Design Requirements for all formats and projects. Evaluate System Engineering practices (Use cases, etc) or equivalent to ensure Ingka is having adequate design parameters for all types of projects
• keep up with the development within the area and initiate new technology and innovation
• responsible for leading and coordinating the delivery of training content, learning solutions and tools within your key competence area/s in cooperation with relevant stakeholders and supporting functions
• take responsibility for your key competence area/s and participate proactively and engaged with Group Construction's project support and review as well as general Cluster support for a number of Cluster Construction organizations if being delegated this responsibility
• lead the work within your competence area/s and co-ordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure that specifications, standards, manuals, guidelines, etc. relating to Engineering and Lead Solutions/Innovations for PPP are updated and are consistent with other Ingka documentation, correctly reflects current business needs and are implemented in the cluster Real Estate organisations
