As Engine Software Component Responsible (KASW) - PROPULSION within the group Control Module you will work with control systems for propulsion which involves ensuring of requirements for software.
You will work close to subcontractors, system project managers and suppliers and you will get a comprehensive view of the technology and the different car projects.
Main responsibilities:
We are looking to strengthen our team with a Component Responsible for Software (KASW). The job is highly diversified with many different tasks. Your main objectives are a combination software project management, quality assurance and technical design work.
To describe the work following tasks can be mentioned:
*Main window person towards supplier to define and plan SW projects.
*Responsible to quality assure the software in order to meet internal standards.
*Develop process, methods and tools to further improve your field
You will be the key person who lead the software planning of the project and will participate in several projects to communicate the implementation to the engine control system project leader. As the role involves coordination and technical administration, it is important to have a strong ability to communicate and to structure your work. The position will also implicate a broad network and an opportunity for personal development in an international atmosphere.
To manage the industrialization of software you'll need a big network and a very close contact with your suppliers. You will get a strong understanding and knowledge of the engine projects and electrical development within Volvo Cars. The extensive network will diversify your tasks and is a challenge as well as give you great room for professional development.
Required qualifications:
*M.Sc or equivalent documented work experience.
*Strong skills in project planning
*Experience from embedded system development.
*Fluent in English and Swedish, both written and spoken.
Personal qualities
In this role you need to have high self-motivation and interpersonal skills, as well as ability to work independently. You are structured and open-minded. You are also used to cooperate and communicate with different people in different roles. Other traits that we appreciate is strong ability to handle different tasks.
