About us
The Emission Compliance Maintenance department is responsible for securing emission- and noise certificates compliance in the products maintenance phase. The team is working with Labels, Product Change Requests, CoP coordination, PEMS, Software Documentation, Design Change Notice, Quality Case handling and Certificate Updates. We have a broad contact network both internally in the Volvo Group and externally. We are currently 9 engaged team members working in Emission Compliance Maintenance.

Position description

As an Emission Compliance Maintenance Engineer, you will have large personal responsibility in planning of the work to ensure deliveries in time, therefore a structured way of working is required. Since interaction with both external and internal contacts is crucial for achieving results, good networking and communication skills are of high importance.
In this role you will work close with the Product Quality organization guiding them in the work to ensure emission compliance in the solving of customer quality cases. Often there are many cases in the solving process simultaneously, some for the same authorities, it will be an important part of the work to have an overview and give input for combination of required certificate updates in the most efficient way. In this position you will also be responsible for defect reporting to authorities to ensure we follow the legal requirements for reporting failures of emission related components. Further you will be the Emission Compliance representative in campaign work, this includes development of internal processes as well as reporting to authorities.
The role might evolve over time and the scope can be extended to include all other parts that is the Emission Compliance Maintenance groups responsibilities.
Core responsibilities
* Secure emission compliance involvement in Quality Cases and prepare cases for channels internally within Emission Compliance (Administration and Reporting).
* Assist and guide during Quality Cases solving process with emission compliance expertise.
* Follow up on customer fault frequencies and report to relevant authorities when required.
* Guide and give input from emission compliance perspective on campaigns for emission related parts.
Desirable experience and qualifications
* Master of Science degree or similar level of education.
* Several years' experience of working with emission compliance.
* Good knowledge of emission legislations.
* Fluent in English is a minimum, Swedish is desired. Other language skills are welcome.
