About this opportunity

At Baseband Infrastructure (BBI), our mission is to provide a groundbreaking Software Development Kit to the community of Ericsson Software developers who develop applications for the Ericsson Radio System. We are now looking for a Developer to join our team and take part in the development of the next generation kernel, supporting the advanced requirements from a growing number of products and applications. In BBI, we emphasize teamwork, communication, and agile ways of working, that can contribute to the teams' successes. We continuously deploy our products and focus on our customers.
What you will do
In this role, you will join our group of skilled engineers and work with the lightweight kernel, an integral part of the Software Development Kit that is tailored for our architecture and provides applications with hardware abstraction and a runtime environment supporting processes, threads, memory management, signaling, and timers etc. You will also have the opportunity to:
Take part in the development tasks for the next generation kernel, including: analyzing requirements, prototype, design, test, and deploy
Continuously maintain and refactor the software when needed to keep the quality in focus
Collaborate with team members, design teams and users in different parts of the world
You will bring
Your personal qualities are important for us, and we believe you are curious, innovative and collaborative. As part of NextGen we are seeking for you who wish to explore their career with us and have less than 3 years of relevant experience.
In addition, we believe you have:
BSc level (MSc preferred) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
Knowledge and ideally some hands-on experience in agile ways of working
Passion for software development, problem solving and embedded systems. You love to discuss and are comfortable about sharing knowledge.
Good programming skills. Experience in C and Python programming is valued.
Knowledge in Linux, Git/Gerrit or Jenkins are also considered as merits
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
