hela Sverige You will be part of ABB's HVDC unit (High Voltage Direct Current) within the Power Grids division in Ludvika, which develops, manufactures and sells DC transmission systems on a global market. This ABB developed HVDC technology is used to transmit electricity over long distances and for power transmission via submarine cables. HVDC is also used to connect power systems.
HVDC LightTM was developed by ABB and is in hot demand on the market today. The technology is particularly suitable for power systems where overhead power lines cannot be built or where power systems need boosting. HVDC Light is also used to connect offshore structures such as platforms and wind farms and offers a good answer to today's demand for environment friendly solutions.
The ECAD tool used is Engineering Base (EB), AUCOTEC's engineering platform for highly efficient engineering cooperation. EB is Object Oriented, with SQL Database used in Computer aided Engineering tools (CAE) which offers Electrical, Instrumentation & Power Engineering Solutions for the various Industries.
You will be working in a team of 12 specialists in ECAD/PLM (Engineering Base) and MCAD/PLM (NX/Teamcenter). Your main stakeholders will be global users of Engineering Base in Sweden, India, China, Canada, UK, as well as business managers on these sites.
Tasks:
As ECAD/PLM Specialist your typical duties/responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Business analysis for translation of business demands into concrete, state of the art solutions.
• Administration, installation and configuration of Engineering Base.
• Training, problem solving and support of Engineering Base.
• Application related process development with continuous improvements.
• Implementation and maintenance of ECAD standard and base design libraries.
Requirements:
You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, or equivalent. To successfully take on this position you also need technical skills.
Fluency in English is required, whereas Swedish and other additional languages are highly valued. Experience from working as Electrical Designer or system Administrator with knowledge in Electrical design tools especially Engineering Base as well as experience from adapting, creating macro customizations in EB (C-sharp, VBA) for code development is qualifying.
Other important qualities are your ability to cooperate with your colleagues and skills in documenting installations and creating guidelines. Finally, you are accurate and organized as well as pedagogical and confident in your role.
