Description of the assignment:
In the role as a Driveline Engineer the main focus will be on supporting the hydraulic and powertrain group in new development projects as well as improving existing products towards increased performance, functionality, safety and availability. The introduction of new technologies for power distribution and energy storage creates great possibilities for innovative thinking to create new innovative solutions that can improve the final product. The role contains design challenges and need for a good theoretical and application knowledge and capabilities to translate this into practice and create good design solutions.
We are know looking for an experienced Driveline Engineer that can support the rest of the team in concept studies, new development projects and product improvements activities. In this assignment you will potentially work with the hole chain from concepts, design work, technical documentation and test and verification. The work is performed in close cooperation with other groups, departments and sub-suppliers.
Requirements:
We are looking for a person who has a good collaboration capability and an ability to discuss with sub-suppliers in order to get the right information and make sure that they deliver booth from a technical and time perspective. In order to thrive in this role we believe that you as a person are inspired by technically advanced mobile off road products for demanding customers all around the world. Is self-sustaining and willing to take responsibility. Have a structured and analytical approach and can combine theory and practical knowledge.
You also need to have:
* God understanding of various power train component's characteristics and how the different properties effects the interaction between components and the final product.
* Good practical design experience integrating drive train component like engines, coolers, transmissions, exhaust systems, filters, etc.
* Experience of mechanical CAD design tools.
* Ability to identify component requirements and interact with and push sub-suppliers to make sure they deliver according our needs.
* Pragmatic and dare to take action approach and a good ability to find the best compromises.
Valued qualifications:
* Good understanding of vehicle dynamics.
* Practical experience from commercial off-road equipment.
* Functional development and basic control algorithms.
