Do you have a passion for driving change and contributing to societal goals in a business setting?
We are looking for a Director Social Sustainability, who will be responsible for leading social sustainability strategy development at company level and coordinate the implementation across business functions and units.
It includes to secure the due diligence process for responsible business to ensure compliance, manage risks and fulfil customer requirements.
In this role you will be an individual contributor working closely with a wide range of stakeholders in different functions such as Sustainability, Supplier Management and Human Resources. You will be part of the new new Corporate Social Sustainability function, and the wider team of Sustainability & Communications.

Your preferred location is Lund Sweden, or Modena Italy but other Tetra Pak locations can be considered. You may be required to travel 15% of your time globally.

What you will do
As a Director Social Sustainability, you will:
Lead social sustainability strategy development at company level
Operationalise and coordinate social sustainability strategy implementation , developing metrics, assessing maturity and proposing ambitions
Drive selected internal and external activities towards ambitions, and engage in relevant external platforms and coalitions on behalf of Tetra Pak
Establish and manage the continuous global due diligence process for responsible business conduct to comply with legal requirements, and UN Guiding principles. The process need to secure:
Embed responsible business conduct into policies and management system
Identify and assess adverse impacts in operations, supply chains, and business relationships in functions and countries
Actions to address adverse impacts
Remediation when appropriate
Develop capability on Human Rights & Business in the company including, develop and coordinate relevant training on Human Rights for internal stakeholders in collaboration with Human Resources function
Convene a cross-functional group on Human Rights & Business - proactively collaborate with other teams
Lead creation and update of key documents for disclosure requirements

Who you are
You have a Master university degree within relevant field and a minimum of 8 years professional experience in the field of social sustainability
You possess practical experience in implementing due diligence processes for responsible business in global operations and worked as a subject matter expert in Human Rights & Business
Knowledge and experience in the regulatory and legal frameworks and disclosure requirements in Human Rights & Business is a must.
You have extensive experience from stakeholder relations and relevant networks in the area of social sustainability
You have a good understanding and experience of community and livelihood aspects in the global south

As a person, you are proactive and enjoy collaboration with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders in an international business environment. You have excellent communication skills and ability to adapt your approach to different cultures and contexts. You are comfortable in creating the way forward as you go with a drive to simplify and prioritise for effective execution. You take timely and effective business decisions based on insights and facts to ensure progress of your work and deliver on short- and long term goals.
Furthermore, you act as a role model for safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
An excellent command of English, both written and oral is required.
