hela Sverige Connected Solutions is a newly established unit that will lead the development of the Volvo Group's connected solutions and supporting capabilities to further strengthen the Volvo Group position and competitiveness in the area.
As Director Product Planning you will be responsible for the overall service plan and product platform strategy. Main responsibility is to optimize plan for development in new services and technology to maximize return on investments. You will play a key role in establishing the Product Planning function which will consist of Product Managers responsible for Connected Solutions Products. It is both a strategic and operational role that requires a cross-functional way of working.
The position reports to the VP Product Management and is a member of the Volvo Group Connected Solutions Product Management team.
Key Responsibilities
As Director Product Planning, your key responsibilities are:
• Actively participate in forming the organization, set objectives and establish way of working
• Set the product platform strategy and roadmap for development in close co-operation with on-board suppliers
• Consolidate service requirements and propose service development plan
• Drive life cycle cost follow-up in operation for both platform and services
• Perform benchmarking with competitor solutions and services
• Lead budget process for development, maintenance and operation of platform and services, efficiently manage prioritization and make recommendations
• Develop business cases and make recommendations for new investments
• Collaborate with functions within Connected Solutions as well as relevant commercial and engineering teams within the Volvo Group to enable successful execution
• Develop the team and lead the day to day business
• Be a member of Connected Solutions Product Management team. As a member of the management team you will be involved in business development activities and other projects

Competence Profile & Qualifications
To qualify for this role, you should have experience from:
• Experience from developing product platforms strategy and roadmap for development, efficiently balancing performance, cost and return on investment
• Experience and proven track record in service planning and service portfolio management
• Interest in and solid understanding of our industry and our customers' business
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Leadership experience and proven track record of leading leaders and teams
• Successful in building excellent working relationships and operating effectively as a member of a leadership team
• Ability to drive change and impact in large organizations, navigating both formal channels and informal networks, in combination with strong negotiation skills
• Excellent professional skills and ability to work in a fast paced, multicultural and diverse environment
