Right now we are looking for a leader to our New Technology Function.
Challenge description:
The Volvo Penta vision is to be the world leader in sustainable power solutions. We have a history of innovation and enjoy strong market positions based on our current product and service offer. Now it is time for us to prepare the next generation products and solutions and we believe those will be connected, electrified and automated. We are forming a new team to lead the technology development needed for the transformation. The team's area of responsibility will be development of technologies for new areas as well as existing range and will be managed by the Director New Technology.
Key responsibilities:
• Strategy and roadmaps within the area of technology, including management and governance of technology development, you lead the transfer towards new technology areas. Successful collaboration across all functions in Volvo Penta as well as with other Volvo Group entities, external partners and most importantly our customers are key success factors in this role.
• IP management (in collaboration with Volvo Group IP strategy & portfolio).
• Management role. You will lead and develop the people in your team as well as taking responsibility for the development of working processes and practices within your area of responsibility in the quest for continuous improvement.
• Member of the PD management team. The PD management team covers all core processes of Product Development, including Project management, Design, Verification & Validation, Documentation and Support processes. Each individual in the team has a great opportunity to influence the future of Volvo Penta.
