Description
As Director, Communications Centre of Excellence (CCE) you will build and lead a new central organisation of communications specialists who provide services to commercial business partners and the business.
The CCE is an exciting new development for Tetra Pak. It brings together a team of internal communications profession-als - writing; change, channel; planning; and services and standards specialists. This team supports a number of communications business partners (BPs). Together the BPs and the CCE ensure that Tetra Pak's internal communications are of an extremely high standard and delivered with great efficiency.
Internal communications is of strategic importance to Tetra Pak. The company continues to experience change as it improves its competitiveness in an exciting industry and challenging global economy and environment. Ensuring that all employees are focused on playing their part in delivering company success is a key driver of the CCE. As Director of the CCE, you will be responsible for the set up and performance of the CCE. You will ensure that the team operates in a highly efficient, productive way, delivering a consistently high quality service and product. You will be ex-pected to travel approximately 15% of your time per year.
This role reports to The Corporate Director, Internal Communi-cations and Corporate functions, and is based in Lund, Sweden.
Main responsibilities
• Build a strong, high-performing team of communications professionals with a real drive and desire to improve business success.
• Lead and develop this CCE, managing key stakeholders' expectations, ensuring that every team member is capable, highly productive and able to meet the quality requirements expected of them (e.g. through service level agreements).
• Set and monitor KPI's for the CCE to ensure that the function's progress and development is appropriately measured. Use these KPIs to maintain or improve communications quality and improve work efficiency.
• Manage the operation of the CCE team, ensuring that work is completed on time and within budget.
• Manage the annual budget cycle for the CCE ensuring it is compliant with the overall Tetra Pak and corporate communications function planning process.
• Ensure that the overall internal communication plan pro-vided by Corporate Communications is shared and
aligned between the CCE team and the BPs on a regular basis.
• Review the outputs of communications measurement and ensure they are used to develop meaningful insights.
• Ensure that the CCE has a roster of external suppliers and agencies that meet the needs of the CCE, commercial business partners and the business.
• Where requested will support large communictions activities where an additional level of communications capability is required. For example, particularly complex change communications projects.
Qualifications
The successful candidate is an active listener, a clear communicator and a skilled negotiator. His/her analytical mind and sharp business understanding enable a quick grasp of the essence of a business issue and its implications for communication. Cultural sensitivity in combination with a good portion of empathy and informal authority makes it easy for the successful candidate to get buy-in and sell a message. He/she drives for success and can establish trust and motiva-tion among both colleagues and direct reports.
The sought after candidate has a university degree in the field of communication and has 10 years or more of proven experience in communications work in an international organi-sation, including strategic communication, coaching and advising senior management. The skilled candidate has an in-depth understanding of communication strategy development and implementation, as well as communication techniques. Understanding of the manufacturing environment is an advantage. A very good command of English, both written and oral is required. Fluency in Swedish is an advantage.
