As Director Communication for Real Estate you will lead the planning and execution of our communication. The main responsibility includes translating the business strategy for Real Estate into aligned communication with clear and consistent information that drives the strategic execution, supports Volvo Group, drives employee engagement and improves Real Estate's image.
The position reports to the SVP Real Estate and is a member of the Real Estate management team (REMT). You will have a Communication Manager reporting to you.
As a member of the management team you will be involved in strategy, business development and other projects. The position is both strategic and operational, and requires a cross-functional way of working.
As Director Communication, this is what you will spend most of your time doing:
Your main area will be to drive the communication agenda, in order to implement the Real Estate strategy throughout the Volvo Group, by using modern and effective communication methods and tools. You will manage communication and information; meet local as well as global communication needs, supporting the whole Real -Estate organization in the communication area.
As part of the Real Estate strategic work, you will drive the communication agenda to strengthen the dialogue with our colleagues in the truck divisions, business areas and group functions .We believe that improved communication is key to make us successful as a support function.
You will also play an important role in further strengthening the communication function to support the ongoing strategic initiatives in the RE organization (Campus Lundby, target image 2020 and many more strategic largescale projects).
Supporting the SVP of Real Estate with communication events, associated content and presentation material, is within your area of responsibility.
Collaboration with communication functions within the Volvo Group is important, to secure alignment and successful execution of the Real Estate communication agenda. You will also manage potential partnerships for communication.

You have a Master's degree or equivalent as the basis for your career. You are fluent in English. International business experience is a merit. The successful candidate will have shown a winning attitude and great persona in combination with a strong track record and references.

• Experience and a proven track record of managing effective internal communication driving employee engagement and understanding of business targets
