We are looking for a skilled and creative UX Designer to help us shape the user and customer experience of the Volvo Penta Brand. Volvo Penta is on a transformational journey towards a more customer centric way of working to enable seamless digital experiences and service offerings. Our Digital & IT department need to strengthen and grow our digital teams with a person who wants to make a difference by researching human needs and define how we can create great digital experiences throughout the customer journey. You will focus on the end customer experience, both professional fleet operators as well as private owners.
In this role, you will be located in the Gothenburg Lundby Campus and join the Volvo Penta Digital & IT department. You will be part of a team with ambitious people with diverse skills-sets who work with enabling the digital transformation at Volvo Penta. You will be part of cross functional collaboration with digital product teams and other UX/UI designers across the organization.
Your role will mainly work in the early phases of the design process, closely together with our customers and users. Some of the main tasks will be to plan and do research activities such as interviews, learn about the user needs and use the insights to visualize digital experiences, that solves their problems. You'll also work with creating wireframes to communicate and present concepts to decision makers and our digital teams.
Responsibilities:
To perform user research activities
To analyze user insights and define user's needs
To communicate needs and digital concepts
To create sketches & low-high fidelity prototypes for:
Decision making
Learning and testing (to get more customer insights)
Finding unmet user needs
Explaining new concepts
To help defining metrics and goals to continuously improve digital experiences
To maintain a holistic overview of our user's experience and interactions

Your skills:
Can communicate fluently in English
Have a relevant educational background
At least 3 years work experience in the role as UX/UI Designer
Hands-on understanding of working with user research
Analytical skills, with good ability of translating user needs into design
Accustomed to work with user journey mapping
Accustomed to work with wireframing and prototyping in Figma, Sketch or Adobe XD
Good communication and presentation skills
A team player with ability to make individual decisions
You have a basic understanding of coding (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
Bonus points:
Experienced with frontend or backend development
Experienced with agile ways of working
Skilled in UX writing or copy
Have a great interest of new technology and innovation
