We are part of GM Powertrain, a global company with business in 17 countries and with over 50 000 employees. Today GM Powertrain Sweden has around 800 employees situated at three sites: controls-, engine development and engine production in Södertälje, integration, controls- and transmissions development, engine development and exhaust aftertreatment in Trollhättan and production of manual gearboxes in Göteborg.
Diagnostic Development Engineer - Engines
Duties:
Your responsibility will be development of component and system diagnostic functionality for our engine control systems. The focus of your work will be on the air system for turbo- and supercharged engines.
You will work in the Powertrain Diagnostic Development group in Trollhättan. The group is working with cutting edge powertrain control system technology for future vehicle projects and has continuous co-operation with control system and diagnostic engineers and experts in Sweden, US, Italy and Germany. Skills in the English language are required.
We are using Matlab/Simulink model based design and automatic code generation for the development of most parts of our control system SW. Basic understanding of embedded real time systems is an extra advantage. Some software programming knowledge is preferred (C/C++). As verification of new algorithms partly takes place in vehicles a category B driving license is required. The result of your work will be used in GM vehicles globally. Business trips both within and outside of Sweden is part of the assignment.
Background:
You are a M.Sc. or B.Sc. with experience of development work within the automotive industry. You have experience in embedded powertrain control systems and have knowledge and experience in development work of diagnostics. Experience of diagnostics in the field of turbo- or supercharged air systems is a merit.
