AstraZeneca is now looking to recruit an experienced Design Engineer (Device Engineer) to be part in the development of one of their inhalation devices. You will be part of a Packaging & Device design team who will work closely with other test -, quality-, and material engineers and the project leader.

The consulting assignment will start in the end of August or after agreement and 2018-05-30, with good possibility for extension.

Pharmaceutical Development is accountable for delivering the innovative design, efficient and robust processes for the manufacture of differentiated drug products, the supply of product for toxicological and clinical trials and the generation of information and knowledge to ensure regulatory approval of our products.
Packaging & Device is a team within AZ product technology and development. Our business is focused on turning good ideas into innovative, effective devices and packages that make a real difference for the end user, often the patient. We are looking for an experienced design engineer to be part in the development of one of our inhalation devices. The job holder will be part of a design team of around 5 people, who will work closely with other test -, quality-, and material engineers and the project leader
The role
• To design plastic components used in complex mechanism system
• To work with CAD system Creo or Solid works
• To work with suppliers of injection molding to assure that the designed plastic components are suitable for molding.
• To provide design solution on moving parts, lock mechanisms and assembly concepts of plastic components.
• To be able to propose suitable tolerances for the design components, which are suitable for manufacturing.
• To support risk assessment and product verification work.
Utbildning/erfarenhet
Requirements
• Design Engineer at least BS degree
• Knowledge in the CAD system Creo and/or Solid works
• Extensive knowledge in plastic design
• Experience with injection molding
• Knowledge in design of complex mechanism such as movements, lock systems and assemblies
Preferred Requirements
• Experience with design of medical devices
• 5+ years of working experience in design engineering
• Be familiar with tools such as Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), tolerance analysis, failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA)
