Within the SCD area of Intralogistics we are working with establishing, optimising, integrating, automating and conceptualising logistical flows for any unit that has a logistics or fulfilment component. The organisation consists of 6 departments: Portfolio Management, Project and Implementation, Automation & Design, Business & Product Development, Innovation and Handling & Storage Solutions and Process (HSSP) where we now are looking for a Development manager. HSSP is responsible for delivering all aspects of the physical and digital solution that make up a business process.

Job Description
As a Development Manager for HSSP you will lead the development portfolio for processes and digital solutions within SCD Intralogistics. Delivering to the IKEA Supply objectives and defined business needs. You will be responsible for high and stable performance and continues improvements within your area in close cooperation with stakeholders, including supporting implementation. You will set and deliver agreed business goals to secure a high performing organization. You are passionate about the digital transformation and see process- and solution development as a key to make life easier for the many people and make a clear footprint in line with the IKEA direction. This you will secure by leading your development area by high performing teams and leaders who inspires co-workers to reach their full potential. You are a member of Intralogistics management team.
As one of the Development Managers for Handling & Storage Solution & Process you will build relationships with franchisees and other IKEA companies through IKEA way of doing business, based on co-operation, trust and transparency. You will develop the Intralogistics Digital Solutions for all delivery aspects of a group of physical and digital solutions relating to a business process and be accountable for all aspects of digital solution delivery for Handling & Storage in the assigned area, including Business Development, Software development, Life Cycle Management, Service Level Fulfillment, Business continuity and Overall performance and continuous improvement of the assigned solutions (quality and cost).
You will also:
Contributing to the strategic direction of Intralogistics specifically in the digital areas
Building relationships with other digital areas
Support defining and take account for driving the IL target state
Responsible for the development of the Intralogistics Service Offer
Drive leadership and development: identify skill gaps, plan training to upskill the team enabling them to meet the short and long term business needs
Lead by example, and focus on coaching and motivating leaders and co-workers
Secure a transparent and sustainable information/communication flow throughout Intralogistics and to stakeholders
Qualifications
As a person, you have a strong passion to guide the organisation into the future, having a strong drive in the field of logistics, digitalisation, automation and software engineering. You have leadership skills to lead business and people in a global assignment. You have the drive to develop your team managers, co-workers and yourself to deliver excellent results. You strive to obtain a good collaboration and interaction with a big number of various stakeholders in various IKEA units and externally with the Intralogistics suppliers and development partners. Moreover, you have a desire to find new ways and make them happen through engaging and motivating people. You go the extra mile and find new solutions to enable IKEAs journey to become a true Multichannel Retailer. You have a genuine interest for supply chain, as well as technological and IT development connected to intralogistics and a solid experience in leading interdisciplinary software development programs.
To succeed in this role, we believe you have:
Senior managerial and leadership experience, preferably gained in IKEA supply chain and based on the IKEA key values.
The desire and capability to be a great communicator and by this build trust and relationships to handle multiple stakeholders in a global environment.
Capability to represent IKEA towards external suppliers and to be an IKEA ambassador in everything you do.
A Strong knowledge within the assigned solution portfolio, its roadmap and life cycle management good knowledge of the relevant business process, functions and it's strategies connected to other processes.
A Good knowledge of the current & target digital landscape in relation to the assigned solution area.
A Good knowledge of Project Management, Supplier Management and Information Security practices.
A passion for Intralogistics and a strong knowledge and understanding of the IKEA processes, organizations and supply chain.
A strong good knowledge of software development practices and the management of those.
A desire to do things differently and challenge current ways of working and the ability to move with speed and direction
Fluency in English
