hela Sverige The Driveline Systems function at Volvo Construction Equipment is globally responsible for development of axles and transmissions for construction equipment, specifically wheel loaders and articulated haulers. This responsibility covers the mechanics as well as control of the driveline. The Component Technology & Reliability department within Driveline Systems is now looking for a:
Development Engineer ? Machine Elements, Wet clutches
• You will work as a specialist within the area of friction systems in driveline components with focus on hydraulic-controlled wet clutches.
• You will be responsible for defining requirements and specifications, calculations, system design and analysis as well as direct contact with our suppliers.
• You will be working with the entire design process and lifecycle of the product ? from advance engineering and early project phases to industrialisation of new products and product maintenance.
• The work is conducted in development projects and in close co-operation with other departments and functions within the company.
• An important area is providing technical support to the global purchasing organisation in contacts with our suppliers.
Qualifications and Requirements
• You have a Master?s degree (or equivalent) in mechanical engineering, specialising in tribology, mechatronics or a related field.
• You are target oriented, flexible and able to work independently as well as in a team.
• You should be able to handle multiple tasks in a structured manner.
• Experience of machine element design, mechatronic system design and tribology is required.
• Experience of wet clutch design is beneficial.
• Experience from heavy duty and/or automotive applications is beneficial.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and preferably Swedish are required.
