SunGard Front Arena develops Position Control software for a global customer base of leading investment banks. Our business critical systems are used on trading floors around the world by demanding customers. They expect the vendor to know their business and provide the right solutions that give them an edge on competitors.
Front Arena's Development team is looking for a senior Business Analyst who is passionate about providing the best software solutions for FX and Money Market (MM) trading at Tier One institutions. The position is based in central Stockholm and reports to the FX MM FXO Product Manager.

Your primary focus will be working within the highly experienced, enthusiastic team and be helping to lead the development of next generation FX functionality for global financial institutions as part of multiple dynamic development teams that already service a global client base of cross asset customers. The FX Business Analyst position has a high impact on our growing business by:

• Helping the team to crystallize, communicate and execute on elements of the long term strategy for FX and MM
• Produce software development specifications to drive highly motivated developers to deliver
• Help deploy the resulting software within key projects as necessary.

Position requirements
We are looking for ambitious, self-motivated candidates having a unique ability to understand how to translate the needs for ease of use, speedy pricing and built-for-purpose-workflow into great software that will ensure Front Arena becomes the best next generation FX and MM software from any vendor.
The individual should have direct experience of the trading and sales environment FX (spot and fwds) and money market products, direct experience of software package implementation and a clear capacity to communicate how to solve Traders' business problems to software developers. The candidate should demonstrate exceptional understanding of software development required to meet the demands of Tier One financial institutions.
As a result, the essential Skills and Experience required are:
• Minimum 3 years direct FX Software experience in a major financial institution or vendor serving such institutions (as ex-trader, trader support or software specialist with relevant direct experience)
• Vision of what cutting edge FX software should do for traders in Tier One institutions
• Ability to write clear specifications to motivate new development and excellent software implementations
• Strong capacity to connect with senior traders on their terms and engage with their business needs
• A desire spend time in Stockholm and travel (frequency would be one week per month)
Desirable Skills and Experience required are:
• Proven ability to drive software development through specification or direct development team leadership
• An understanding of the competitive landscape for FX software
• Proven ability to write functional specifications and, ideally, business justifications for their execution
• Proven ability to make a difference.
