Our Exciting Opportunity
Radio Products Sweden 2 drives end-to-end radio product and RF and Mixed Signal IC development. We are now looking for an experienced, motivated, and creative development engineer of PCB technology to join our team of highly skilled engineers in Lund.
Radio Design works according to Lean Product Development to develop and maintain competitive high-quality Radio products which give our customers solutions securing future growth. Radio Products Sweden 2 is present in Lund, Linköping and Kista and is a multi-functional organization with end-to-end product responsibility.
Radio Design provides possibilities to work with the newest technology within printed circuit board technology and assembly and offers opportunities in an everyday learning, creative and exciting atmosphere.
In this role you will participate in HW pre-studies and product projects and be the source of knowledge with regards to PCB technology.
The position is based in Lund and may require travel to other PDU Radio sites in Sweden, China and Canada and to our PCB suppliers.

You will
Propose PCB stack-up for different boards used in our HB radio products; development boards, product boards and various test boards. Focus is on product performance, product reliability, PCB cost and availability of PCB technology from our suppliers
Provide knowledge on PCB technology and design rules to ongoing projects
Specify and review requirements on PCB designs
Provide information on laminate materials and support in choice of new materials
Participate in meetings with PCB suppliers
Contribute in work with PCB roadmap
Support Ericsson Sourcing team on PCB technology
Participate in global Ericsson PCB networks
Train designers in PCB technology and PCB production methods


To be successful in the role you must have
MSc level in material science, electrical engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years relevant work or academic experience.
Excellent English skills, oral and written.
Experience in PCB technologies and manufacturing processes.
Knowledge in behavior of laminate materials.
The quality of being result oriented with an interest of taking own initiatives and drive improvements.
The quality of being an excellent teammate with good networking and communication skills.
Knowledge of product development and Product Lifecycle Management.
Planning skills and be organized.
An open mind and be eager to share knowledge.
