Board Power Design at Lindholmen is responsible for research, development, and maintenance of Board Power solutions to the majority of the Ericsson Product Portfolio. We are a part of the Ericsson's global design organization and engaged in developing products for the present and future mobile networks. At our site we are five sections forming a competence center with responsibility to provide power solutions to the Ericsson organization.

Job description

The job is within product development area and includes:

Board Power design (DC/DC converters, power architectures, POL converters, EMI filters)
Design and evaluation of components, protection circuitry, supervision, and control functions
Contribute to the strategic analysis of future design trends
Act as mentor within the technical area
Application of simulation models and power budgets
Schematic design and support of board layout
Production support and verification

We use the latest design and simulation tools to develop our world class products. We keep track of new technology, methodologies, and design techniques, ensuring that our design activities are kept at a world class level.

Our competence center is based on team work with experienced and dedicated individuals. We believe that our employees are the key to our success. Primary location for this position is at Lindholmen, Gothenburg, Sweden


Board Power Design Radio 2 is now looking for an experienced designer with a deep interest in power solutions and analogue design. You will work in close cooperation with other power design areas and with global power system suppliers. You will interact with design disciplines across Ericsson, such as radio design, system design and building practices. Co-operation with global production sites and other design centers in Sweden, China and Canada is part of the daily work.

Most of all you have an inquisitive mind, and a thirst for knowledge. You are willing to adopt to new methods and techniques and take initiative to challenge and improve daily work. You work well independently, but you are also a team player setting the team goals as priority one. Good communication skills, an analytical approach, and a strong drive for results we see as very valuable.

You have worked some years within the field and have:

BSc or MSc degree in electrical engineering or equal
3 years of experience from analogue design or equal
Skills in schematic drawing and experience from a laboratory environment (instruments, measurement technique, etc.)
Understanding of firmware and software design e.g. C, LabVIEW and Java
Fluent in English and preferably in Swedish. Proficiency in Mandarin is a plus
