You will be part of the Business Performance Tools & Reporting team, which is responsible for transforming huge amounts of raw data into products and tools to be used by our Data Scientists and Business Performance Units. You will be part of an agile, flexible team that can react to the demands of our users in a rapidly evolving environment.
Your role within our Kingdom
• You will work in a highly collaborative team to devise solutions to business problems, bringing your skills and ideas into every discussion.
• You will build Data Warehouse ETL processes, create data sets to be used in analysis, and products to present data to business users
• You'll take ownership and responsibility for the quality of the products with consideration on efficiency and performance
• You'll learn new technical skills when needed and use them to help the team achieve success
Skills to create thrills
• SQL development experience
• Experience building data pipelines and schedules
• Good knowledge of programming & scripting languages such as Java, Python and Bash
• Comfortable at a Linux command prompt
Bonus points
• Experience working in an agile workplace
• Experience working with Google Cloud Platform
• Exposure to Big Data technologies (e.g Hadoop, BigQuery, Impala)
• Familiar with different data modelling techniques (e.g Star schemas, 3NF)
• Some experience of Business Intelligence (BI) tools such as Looker, Tableau or QlikView
