We are looking for an experienced Machine Learning Data Scientist to join our group of data professionals. Our Fraud Prevention Team is a function within the AML & Financial Crime Prevention Area supporting business across multiple business areas. Our mission is to empower Fraud Prevention by unlocking the potential of data we create in our processes to identify improvements with a focus on data driven automation. We provide support to enable data-driven decision-making and leverage process intelligence across Fraud Prevention.

About the role:
As a Machine Learning Data Scientist, you will play an important role in accelerating our organization's data journey and creating business value. In this role you are expected to understand business needs and pain points in the process flows that can be addressed through data-driven solutions. You will have to analyse large datasets, apply advanced statistical and machine-learning techniques to drive actionable insights, data-driven decisions and improve our fraud prevention solutions.

Core roles and responsibilities:
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand their business needs and identify problems that can be solved using AI/ML techniques.
• Identify opportunities for AI/ML use cases, focusing on optimizing our manual processes and improving customer service.
• Lead and drive data workstreams engaging stakeholders and cross-functional teams in the implementation of the solutions.
• Collect, clean and analyse large amounts of data from various sources using various tools, methods, and formats to create business insights.
• Create ML algorithms and models to address specific business challenges and identify business opportunities.
• Deploy models into the production environment, maintain, monitor performance and secure reliability.
• Collaborate with the Data, ML/AI, Cloud/Data Engineers, Data Scientists and DevOps teams across the bank to accelerate AI/ML use cases.
• Collect and refine business requirements using various methods, such as data-driven insights, interviews, document analysis and workflow analysis.

To thrive in this role, we believe you have:
• You have a strong academic background in Machine Learning and Data Science (at least hold a Master's degree in relevant fields).
• You have working experience as a Machine Learning and Data Scientist or similar role for at least 3 years and have been involved in developing and deploying ML models for solving business problems.
• You have experience in MLOp's principles and how to apply them and possible ideas into production.
• You have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to take ownership.
• You have great communication skills and fluency in English.
• You have great data visualization techniques, the ability to create meaningful visualizations and communicate insights.
• You have experience working with big data platforms using Apache Spark and Hadoop.
• You have proficiency in Python, Scala and Java programming language and have experience working with ML.
• You have experience working with a Cloud solution (Google Cloud Platform is preferred).
