This role is part of the Information Management Office (IMO) within SD&O at Volvo Cars. The IMO mandate is to establish an all-encompassing information governance and information and data management across all company functions.

The Data Quality Manager is responsible for maintaining a high level of data quality standards through rigorous analysis and auditing, supporting business processes and business analytics infrastructure.



Main Tasks
Be a part of and represent the Information Management Office (IMO) in data quality related projects and initiatives
Establish and maintain a Data Quality Framework
Actively lead and facilitate workshops together with business and IT stakeholders
Define key data quality metrics to be used across the organization
Drive both proactive and reactive recommendations for data quality improvements
Implement quality improvement methodologies and processes within the context of data quality
Collaborate with Data Quality Services, Data Stewards and Architects
Work with key stakeholders to ensure that target data quality expectations are met and maintained
Participate and represent IMO in business case development and ODGF reviews
Coach and train business and IT on maintaining data quality



Responsibility
Create and maintain the data quality artifacts
Ensure that data quality practices are adhered to, thereby contributing to the overall data quality of the company's information assets

Minimum Requirements
University degree or equivalent working experience
Strong knowledge in Enterprise Information Management, information architecture principles and data quality management best practices.
Thorough understanding of IT landscape opportunities within a large global organization company
Fluent in English, both verbally and written

In this important role, you will help us develop data quality working methods and methods for raising data quality in processes, applications, and databases. You are also responsible for continuously ensuring that measuring of data quality is performed, as well as identifying and proposing actions.

Proactively addressing data quality is important to ensure proper reporting, analysis and trust of data, with the aim of maximizing the business value from existing data and new developments. The role is placed in the Information Management Office team, where you work with colleagues responsible for e.g. information portfolio management, information governance, business, our users and other partners within the Volvo Car Group.

You are a person with an understanding of IT as well as for the business, and a key resource in ensuring below by being part of and represent the Information Management Office (IMO) in data quality related projects and initiatives

Work with key stakeholders to ensure that target data quality expectations are met and maintained
Suggestions for action to address identified problems
Actively lead and facilitate workshops together with business and IT stakeholders
Coach and train business and IT on maintaining data quality

To succeed in the role you have


10 years' experience in software development work including data quality work and data profiling
Knowledge of business processes and applications and how data is processed into reporting and analysis
Experience of statistical and analytical methods
Ability to act quickly and solution-oriented
Ability to run initiatives on their own, engage colleagues and communicate
You also speak and write unobtrusively Swedish and English
