We are now in the search for an Architect within data & analytics who is tech savvy with business acumen, cultivates innovation and inspired by Leadership.
What you'll do
As an Insights Architect you will foster and evangelize a data-driven culture within the company by being one of the lead data & analytics architects. You will collaborate with colleagues and partners to create real value and deliver data-driven Insights and by that creating a data-driven company. In practice the Insights Architect will through his/her mix of technical and business acumen, functional and domain knowledge, lead, provide guidance and support to Volvo Cars in identifying, aligning and set the future data & analytics architectural landscape envisioning the true data mesh tailored for Volvo Cars. You will succeed in your role through collaboration and by leveraging both your personal and our organisations capabilities in which you will contribute to their future development. It is also expected that you will by leadership experience tutor and coach your colleagues to grow and broaden their tools and skillset.
Current architectures and used technologies reside mostly on Microsoft Azure data & analytics functions, Snowflake, xDM Semarchy and a mix of Power BI and Tableau, in addition there are also legacy solutions based on siloed SQL-servers and also Teradata DWH which will all be part of a modernization journey. We expect that you will leverage existing technologies and architectures but be part of leading the journey to tailor the architecture beyond and towards the specific domain needs
You and your skills
You have Enterprise Architecture level knowledge and hands-on experience with some combination of application life-cycle management, infrastructure, security, and privacy technologies. You have in-depth knowledge of data & analytics technologies and architectures, not limited to those used within Volvo Cars today, including the data mesh concepts and aware of current and emerging trends. Experience and knowledge within AI/ML and SAP S4 are meritious.
You have the ability to provide engineering leadership in design and implementation of analytical solutions, data management, data science, technology solutions, strategies and technologies. You have strong communication and presentation skills; you know how to influence and organize people and activities into an efficient workflow. You have the know how to leverage data for efficient decisions. You have knowledge about both centralized and decentralized organizational models related to Insights, such as Data Mesh architecture and Self-Service at scale. You constantly have a Customer-Centricity and Design Thinking perspective together with an agile mindset.
We believe you have 10+ years of working experience within Enterprise data at scale, Business Intelligence and Analytics. You have diverse Industry backgrounds in Commercial, Retail (On/Offline), Advanced Manufacturing, High Tech and/or advanced Auto. You have experience from leadership, knowledge and experience from working within large organizations utilizing agile methodologies such as SAFE, Scrum and/or Kanban. You have a BSc/MSc, or equivalent training in Computer Science or another relevant subject area.
