We are now looking for a talented Data Engineer to join our central Business Intelligence team in Technology. You'll be at the heart of everything that happens at Strawberry, working to design, build, and optimize our data warehouse and analytics ecosystem. Your work will be critical in transforming raw data into actionable insights, providing the high-quality, scalable datasets that empower business decisions, analytics, and application development across the company.

Are you passionate about AI in data?
We are passionate about artificial intelligence (AI) and its potential to transform how businesses make data-driven decisions. Our team actively explores and provides the data foundation for AI-powered tools and models. If you're excited about leveraging AI to push the boundaries of traditional BI, you'll fit right in.

What You'll Do:

• Take ownership of the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable and performant data models in Snowflake using dbt.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize data pipelines and ELT workflows with proper orchestration flows from sources into data warehouse solutions.
• Design and build data models in Snowflake leveraging dbt for transformations and version control.
• Implement data quality checks and monitoring to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
• Write efficient Python scripts for data manipulation, automation, and integration with external APIs.
• Take a keen interest in owning the documentation for our data models and pipelines to ensure clarity and maintainability.
• Collaborate closely with data analysts, engineers, business teams, and source system owners to integrate new data and deliver powerful datasets for reporting and analytics.
• Deploy and maintain solutions within our Azure cloud environment.
• Support in the analysis of incidents, problem-solving, and bug fixes, managing support cases and hotfixes as needed.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our data architecture, documentation, and development standards.

What You'll Bring:

• A minimum of 5-6 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, or a similar BI Developer role.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, with the ability to write complex and efficient queries.
• Proven experience with data modeling, back-end architecture, and data warehousing, specifically with Snowflake.
• Hands-on experience with modern data stack tools like dbt, and familiarity with orchestration tools like Airflow or Matillion.
• Solid Python scripting skills for data manipulation and automation.
• A understanding of data analysis, data visualization best practices, and storytelling techniques.
• A good grasp of data governance, version control (Git), and CI/CD principles.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• An analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication, active listening, and collaboration skills. You are a team player who builds trust, acts without prestige, and can establish strong relationships.
• Excellent command of English, both written and oral.
• A BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant field.

What We Offer:

• Real Impact: Be a part of a dynamic transformation and contribute directly to our success story.
• Empowerment: Work in a flat organization with trust, autonomy, and the opportunity to make a real difference.

• Fantastic Perks: Benefit from great employee discounts, including staff and friends & family rates at our hotels.
• Flexible Work: Enjoy the best of both worlds with our hybrid model, with three days of in-person collaboration at our Oslo or Stockholm HQ

We do not offer remote positions; candidates must be located in or willing to relocate to Oslo or Stockholm.
