hela Sverige Do you want to be a part of transforming Scania's future? The combination of digitalization, electrification and connected vehicles is a key to unlocking future success for our customers. The world of transport and logistics is rapidly transforming into a sustainable Ecosystem and at Scania we are facing the biggest shift in our history. In this shift we are not a bystander, instead, our purpose is to drive the shift towards a sustainable transport system, creating a world of mobility that is better for business, society and the environment.
In this transformation, digitalization and efficient use of data generated by our products, services and business activities are key components. At the same, we are facing increasing legislation that impacts how we handle data, in some cases restricting what we do with data and in some cases obligating us to make data available in certain ways. Therefore we need to understand legal requirements for data handling and ensure that we efficiently can conduct business in a compliant way.
As a Data Compliance Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our business organization understands and complies with all applicable data-related regulations. Privacy legislations such as GDPR, e-privacy and similar legislations around the globe are a big part but equally important is to understand new upcoming legislations such as example Data Act and AI Act and how these different legislations interact.
You will form a team with our existing Senior Data Compliance Officer and the two of you work in tight collaboration with our corporate functions for Legal, Data protection, Risk & Compliance and Information Security as well as a network of similar roles within the Scania Group business structure.
But most importantly the two of you will act as coaches to the business, enabling them to take responsibility for risk and data compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Facilitating data risk assessments to identify, assess and prioritize data compliance risks
Work with process/product owners to document data processing activities, including the purpose of processing, the categories of data, and the data retention period to stay compliant with global privacy legislation
Drive and govern all processes in Aster -our privacy system from OneTrust - to ensure that data quality is maintained
Participates in assessments of new data-related legislations and how they impact Scania
Supports businesses in handling incidents and documenting personal data incidents in Aster
What we offer
You will get the unique chance to work with all commercial business processes since we support the complete Sales & Marketing organization and also our colleagues in Venture & New Business as well as Communications & Sustainability.
In this role, you will enhance your understanding of Scanias commercial strategy and how we execute that strategy, get insight into exciting business innovation activities driving transformation and continuously increase your knowledge of data-related legislation to grow as a data compliance specialist.
Your profile
We believe that to be successful in this role you have a background in either privacy, information security or other risk management work.
You thrive working in the intersection of legal, IT and business to understand what we do with data, how we manage data and what the legal requirements are.
Since we work with system support from OneTrust for Privacy it is an advantage with previous experience from working in OneTrust but otherwise, you will get the chance to learn on the job to be our OneTrust user expert.
You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills so that you can coach and support various business roles in multi-cultural teams - developers as well as product owners and managers.
We look forward to your application!
