Job description and main responsibilities
Supply Chain Optimization is a function within Service Market Logistics in the Volvo Group. We are now looking for people joining our team in Eskilstuna. In this role, you will be part of a team working to ensure high quality forecasting and optimal theoretical mix of inventory and service.
You will develop tools and solutions for improving forecasting and inventory management performance. This by combining traditional techniques with future technology and combing large data sets with new algorithms using Python, Java, SQL in an Azure environment.
Preferable competences - Who are we looking for?
Experience in Python, Java programing
Experience in Azure
Experience of dB-structures and SQL scripting
Experience in release mgmt.
Experience in DevOps and agile working methods
Preferably knowledge in AI, machine learning
Strong analytical skills and ability to tell a story based on data
Comfortable learning new technologies
Ability to work across organizational boundaries and levels to get results.
Ambitious self-starter who enjoys a good challenge and creative problem solving with a high-level of own personal drive
Ability to manage deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Good knowledge in data analysis tools
Communication: Aptitude to analyze and develop a deep and holistic understanding and be able to package it in ways that is responsive to different stakeholder groups.
Some knowledge or experience from logistics, forecasting, planning and supply chain
Education
At least 3 years from a post-secondary education within data engineering (coding) or/and mathematics/statistics or similar knowledge
