The challenge: Would you like to develop the next generation of power equipment in a creative and highly skilled team? As Electrical Apparatus Scientist you will create and execute R&D projects from start to finish - that includes every step from idea development to field installation. In this role you will get the opportunity to innovate our systems and products by challenging existing design rules in power equipment, switch-gear and power systems. In doing this you will consider environmental and cost-effective as well as technical aspects.
The requirements: As Electrical Apparatus Scientist you hold a PhD in Electrical Engineering or in Applied Physics. You need to have knowledge of one or several of the following areas: power equipment and interaction among power components, prototyping, design and testing - be it electromagnetic, electrical, thermal or mechanical. Perhaps you have experience from multi-physics system modelling, simulation and verification or measurement technologies? It is qualifying if you have utility- and power related industry experience.
As a person you need to be an excellent team player that deliver in a timely and efficient manner.
You will be a part of ABB Corporate Research in Sweden. We develop the foundations for the next generation of ABB products and systems.
