Job Description
The Technical publication and translation coordinator will be responsible for coordinating technical writers and their process, globally, as well as being the process owner for technical documentation and translation.
You will manage translation and localization projects on a global level from beginning to end, working closely with internal and external translation suppliers, engineers, product management, other departments and external vendors. The role includes oversee and track innovation efforts in order to reduce costs and improve workflow efficiencies.
Main duties and responsibilities will include:
* Manage the translation team's compliance with processes, standards, practices and policies
* Facilitate the proposal and implementation of new tools and technology opportunitie
* Develop project plans and workflows, managing time, budget, resources and quality control
* Continually expand knowledge and education in localization trends and news, keeping up to date through active participation in training opportunities
* Ensure quality in all customer-facing content and make sure translation keeps content narrative consistent across the experience
* Review, educate, train vendors, as well as provide feedback of their work, to ensure high-quality and scalable translations
* Mentor and train on style guide and terminology to other internal or external groups that create content for Systemair
Qualifications and Experience
* Preferably BA degree in a technical and/or linguistic related field
* Minimum of three years of professional relevant experience in the content and/or localization industries as translator, reviewer or project manager
* Skills and experience in project management and risk management
* Very good knowledge of cloud based Translation Management Systems, for example Memsource or MemoQ from a Project Management and Translation perspective
* Proficiency in xml authoring, bilingual xml, multilingual xml, xml segmentation rules, DITA, Xpath and RegEx.
* Solid understanding of database concepts and data manipulation
* Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, macros, lookup tables, etc.)
* Proficiency in ISO 17100 standard

* Execellent ability to communicate professionally, both written and oral in English
* Critical-thinking skills
* Ability to work both independently and within a team environment in a multi-language/multi-cultural environment
* Must have strong coordination and leadership skills
* Comfort in managing through ambiguity, self-driven, able to prioritize and meet deadlines under pressure
* Flexible adaption to different levels of work - both strategical and operational
* Knowledge and Interest in continuing to learn and identify new technologies and new tools
