Our site in Malmö manufactures industrial paint and has been growing for the past 10 years. We are continuing our growth with additional volumes being brought in during 2014/2015. The role as CI-manager is a new position for us to further improve our processes and ways of working. We are in the process for implementing Performance Coatings Productions System (PCPS) where the CI-manager will play a crucial role.

As CI-manager you will support the organization in Malmö, ensuring efficient processes and establishing a culture for constant improvements.

• Facilitate the on-site roll-out and maintenance of the Performance Coatings Production System (PCPS) to build organizational alignment while consistently build awareness of KPI?s. Support and coach the teams, champions and stakeholders.

• Maintenance of data system integrity and assistance in analysis of the data to provide direction for the Operation Excellence effort

• Facilitation and delivery of initiatives that result in continuous improvement of Overall Equipement Efficiency, cycle time, and first pass yield through the elimination of waste and reduction in variation.

• Development of visual systems and transfer of identified good practices in a standardized network approach.

• Training and mentoring of site employees in basic and advanced OpEx elements, including but not limited to Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, Visual Management, and Factory Flow.

• Facilitate Six Sigma projects, Breakthrough Events, team-based improvement, and daily kaizen activity. Assist the organization in identifying the right objectives to meet strategic targets then coaching use of the appropriate tools to help meet the objectives.

• Develop control plans, as necessary, to ensure improvement results are effective and survivable over time.

• Aid site leadership in conducting process analysis and implement network recommendations to improve changeover performance on filling lines.
• Aid site leadership in developing and implementing action plans to minimize non-value adding wait time, work and re-work.

• Maintain a plan to improve 5S application on site.

The manufacturing mainly consists of batch-manufacturing of industrial paint as well as a Resin plant (process). You will work closely with coworkers on all levels as well as production management, logistics management and other stakeholders. The Supply Chain organisation is today roughly 170 people, and growing.

As a member of the local management team in Malmö, reporting directly to ICO Site Manager, you will play a crucial role in the continued growth of the Malmö site.

Job requirements / Candidate profile

You have at least a Bachelors Degree (technical degree preferred) with minimum 5 years proven production/process improvement experience. You?re probably a Certified Lean Champion or Six Sigma Black Belt.

In previous employments, you have successfully implemented, worked with and trained Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and/or Total Productive Maintenance methodologies, to management and co-workers.

You are an effective communicator and able to adjust the message depending on the receiver to deliver an impact. You are experienced with data analysis and data management.

You have project management skills and an ability to multi-task. You appreciate working and training with a wide spectra of people.
