In this role, you contribute to branding DIS Stockholm by creating engaging content for social media, blogs, newsletters, and other marketing campaigns. Additionally, you assist the Housing and Student Life Department by joining the Hub Team, aiding students in making the most of their study abroad experience. Through this opportunity, you gain professional international work experience in the field of marketing and communications.
The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in storytelling and experience creating both short-form and long-form content. This position requires that you are collaborative, flexible, an excellent communicator, and comfortable in the role of a photographer. There is a quick turnaround time for capturing and posting content on social media, and you are responsible for keeping our platforms alive in real time.
This is a full-time internship over 12 months, as a part of the DIS Post-Graduate Internship Program for alumni.

Responsibilities
Content Creation
Develop stories about DIS Stockholm by organizing interviews, features, photoshoots, and social media takeovers with subjects
Write short-form and long-form content, for example on the DIS Blog, social media, disabroad.org, and student newsletters
Create engaging visual content for Instagram and TikTok that resonates with prospective and current students
Fulfill DIS image and video needs by taking photos at DIS events, Field Studies, Study Tours, lectures, and planned photoshoots
Social Media
Collaborate with the Social Media & Content Assistant based in Copenhagen on the content calendar, meeting regularly to plan content across platforms
Community engagement
Stay up-to-date on social media trends and emerging platforms
Housing and Student Life
Take shifts at the Student Hub and help students with practical questions
Make connections with students, which can inspire our storytelling
Organize a few Student Hub events every semester together with other staff
Additional Housing and Student Life support, such as attending information nights for Homestay hosts, assisting during the housing matching process, and Arrival Day and Arrival Workshop support
Student Media Team
Be an onsite face for the DIS Stockholm Student Media Team
Support staff in Copenhagen in training, development, and mentorship of students
Train and mentor students involved in social media content creation
Assist in event planning and administration
Additional Responsibilities
Attend and host after-hour and occasional weekend events for DIS
Co-lead Study Tours and travel to DIS Copenhagen as relevant
Who are you?
DIS alum who has completed a Bachelor's degree or higher
Comfortable shooting with DSLRs, including photography and videography
Strong writing skills paired with a visual eye
Proactive self-starter who can work independently
Clear and confident communicator
You will be reporting to the Marketing and Communications Team based in Copenhagen, and the Housing and Student Life Team in Stockholm. Therefore, you need to be independent in doing your tasks, while also being an effective team player who communicates clearly
Highly organized with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
Collaborative and comfortable working in a team
Outgoing and friendly, ready to make connections with students to fuel content creation
Confident in event planning, administrative support, and leading social media trainings for students
Flexible with working hours to account for after-hour events and spontaneous projects
The following skills are beneficial, but not required:
Photo and video editing skills
Graphic design skills (Adobe Creative Suite)
Strong understanding of social media platforms with an interest in trends and tools
Understand the nuances of content distribution on different digital platforms and how to tailor content accordingly
