We are now recruiting for an assignment in the pharmaceutical industry as senior researcher within the field of electrophysiology. Preferred start is as soon as possible. Duration of the assignment is until the end of 2014.
The core responsibility of this assignment is to work with in vivo electrophysiology (i.e. surgery, EEG recordings, EEG analysis), animal work and writing reports. You will work with animal models and be responsible for, and plan, design and execute pharmacological in vivo studies within neurology.

Qualifications:
• Doctorate (Ph.D.) in the field of neurobiology / pharmacology and postdoctoral experience within the field of in vivo electrophysiology of at least 2 years
• Proven extensive laboratory experience of pharmacological studies in animal models in neuroscience
• Experience and knowledge in neurobiology, in vivo animal models and handling of animals such as mice and rats is required
• Knowledge of neuroanatomy and technical experience of dosing, dissections and specimen processing
• The candidate should have a strong background in animal research with experience of in vivo electrophysiology, rodent surgery (Stereotaxic surgury), different drug dosing paradigms, brain dissection and tissue preparation.
• The candidate should have good experience of designing, running, and analyzing preclinical EEG and sleep experiments.
• Excellent oral and written communication in English
• Experience in computer software used in neurophysiology, statistics and also Microsoft Office
• Strong ability and motivation to learn and collaborate
• Ability to work independently under your own initiative
• Excellent social and communication skills and to be a strong team player
• Positive, goal oriented and problem solving attitude
