Who we are

In the world Volvo Cars has almost 40 000 employees employed in 37 countries. We are a Group within R&D Propulsion Power Systems called 97675 EATS DPS & Sensors located in Headquarters in Göteborg. The team consists of 13 members ranging from Design Engineers to System Engineers working with Diesel and Petrol applications. Main deliveries consists of engine after treatment sensors, cable/hoses and support brackets. Within sensors we have the responsibility for Temperature, sensors Differential Pressure Sensor, Urea injectors, Lambda Sensors, Exhaust gas temperature sensors, Exhaust manifold pressure sensors, NOx and soot sensors.



What you'll do

As a component responsible, you will handle engine components during development and production phase. Your focus lies on supplier communication, development progress, time plans, integration to vehicle (mechanical and electrical). You will be developing 3D models with suppliers for virtual verification and for development of prototype parts for physical verification in early phase, moving towards production release of prints, requirements and manufacturing process in a wide international team.

You will also:

* Review and support the development of supplier for mechanical designs.

* Order and review CAE results and develop components based on input

* Support electrical and software teams with component related data.

* Participate in package meetings for resolution of mechanical conflicts

* Participate in life, thermal and EMC testing/simulation.

*Receive and define requirements for owned components

* Close cooperation with multiple internal and external key players such as manufacturing, SQM and Purchasing organization, and test and validation engineers.

* Keep systems updated with latest time plans, models, prints, deviations etc.
