What do we offer?
At Body Electronics we are responsible the vital parts of the electrical system. We create the system specifications for Exterior Light, Sound Signaling and Visibility and develop the body controllers, gateway modules, exterior light control modules and rain sensors. We make impact on the customers experience of a premium car!
We are now looking for a Component Project Leader to strengthen our team. You will act as project leader for all activities related to the development and maintenance of a complex body controller. The work include planning and implementation of hardware and software changes cross vehicle projects.
You will have the opportunity to interact with stakeholders from many parts of Volvo Cars including Power Train, Active Safety and Vehicle Hardware. The work will be done in an agile team using SAFE framework. The team consist of test engineers, hardware engineers and software engineers.
There will also be opportunities to visit suppliers for reviews and project follow-up.
What you'll do
You will establish the technical solution for your component in line and project organization. You will lead the technical team consisting of internal Volvo Cars team members, but also of suppliers. You will be the technical contact for all issues related to the component.
Further, you will secure the final product through quality assuring actions such as FMEA, design reviews and test planning. The timeframe will always be essential in your work, you will, among other tasks, secure that design prerequisites are developed in time and fulfilled during component sourcing. The follow up on the budget for the component development will also be on your responsibility.
Do you fit the profile?
You have experience from working as project or team leader, preferably within automotive and you are a person who like to make things happen! We see that you have a grade within Electronics, Computer, Mechatronics, or a similar education.
You are strongly self-driven and have a result- and business oriented mind-set. You have a good sense-of-urgency and it comes natural for you to create new relations and maintain them for the best outcome. You have the ability to motivate others to reach the common goal. Further, you always keep a structured way of doing things and are good at documentation.
You hold a B driving license and are fluent in English. Experience from software or hardware design for automotive will be considered a benefit as well as knowledge of System Safety ISO26262 and Autosar.
