We are looking for a candidate to the position of Corporate Communications Director, Nordics & Baltics. The position will report to the Head of Nordics & Baltics and indirectly to the Head of Corporate Communications, Europe and Canada.

Role purpose:
Whilst the role is focused on internal and external communications for Nordics & Baltics, you will also have an important 'change agent' responsibility for the rest of the business, partnering with the Head of Nordics & Baltics and key functions to support this.
The successful candidate will be required to:
Support the creation and execution of commercial communication strategies that align with the corporate business objectives, reinforce the reputation and brand of Takeda at a local level.
Serve as the (country) liaison with EUCAN Corporate Communications to ensure local strategy aligns with regional objectives and to leverage regional resources for the benefit of the local business.
Mitigate risk by nurturing strong relationships with key external stakeholders including media, industry professional groups, patient groups (where applicable) politicians and government officials (in some instances) as well key internal stakeholders.
Support key outward facing functions such as Medical, Public Affairs and Market Access to position medical, scientific and social-economic value of Takeda's innovations.
Support the General Managers in the region and senior leadership team with considered counsel on reputation- related matters and leading issues preparations and response.
Support all facets of the business to maintain the integrity of the corporate brand and ensuring all usage of the brand (whether external or internal) complies with company guidelines.
Govern social, media and environmental listening and support digital innovation to encourage best practice digital engagement across the region.
Ensure all communications materials and activities comply with Takeda operating procedures and the relevant local or European industry regulations.
Key responsibilities:
Corporate communications planning
Support the business in leading the corporate communication planning process.
Corporate brand
Drive internal and external corporate brand building to reinforce the company's positioning among key stakeholders.
Media relations
Increase Takeda's media footprint in oncology and gastroenterology. Oversee the press office function, acting as first point of contact and spokesperson for local media enquiries.
Reputation and issues management
Drive Takeda awareness and reputation amongst priority stakeholders proactively manage issues and mitigate risks.
Patient advocacy
Delivering patient centricity programs through patient advocacy; engagement with patient groups in support of access to medicines.
Internal communications
Partner with Head of Nordics-Baltics and key functions (e.g. Human Resources) to develop compelling content to support EUCAN and LOC communications on Takeda's transformation to a speciality care company Manage full-time Nordics & Baltics internal communications manager.
Requirements
The successful candidate will have relevant academic qualifications and a degree in communication management, public relations and/or journalism. The candidate needs to have a significant experience of Takeda and at least 5 years documented experience from international pharmaceutical company 's communications environment.
Demonstrable experience in driving corporate awareness and implementing corporate positioning and transformation initiatives both internally and externally.
The candidate should also demonstrate a commitment to best practice and the application of cutting edge corporate communication strategies. To this end, an understanding of the opportunities presented by digital and social media platforms is an advantage.
The role also requires a thorough grounding of the complexities and issues relating to operating in the global, and specifically European / Canadian, pharmaceutical industry.
Experience in public speaking (mandatory) and established and proven stakeholder networking capabilities (mandatory).
Language requirements: The candidate needs to be fluent (verbally and written) in English and German. Good knowledge in Swedish and knowledge in Danish and Norweigan.
