hela Sverige Group Trucks Purchasing (GTP) is the global group function covering the purchase of automotive products and parts including aftermarket, for all truck brands in Volvo Group Trucks.
Engine Combustion consists of four teams responsible for Air Management, Fuel Injection Equipment, Exhaust Aftertreatment and eMobility. We are a group of highly dedicated and skilled people located in France and Sweden.
Within the Air Management team, we are now looking for a Commodity buyer, located either in Lyon (France) or Gothenburg (Sweden), responsible for EGR and Turbocompound Systems. The parts within the Air Management scope have a direct impact on emission compliance, fuel consumption and feature level and are considered as development components.
Mission
As a Commodity Buyer you will act as the main interface towards Suppliers during the entire serial production and service parts life. You will be responsible to secure that the Quality, Delivery, Cost, Feature, Technology, Sustainability and Risk Management (QDCF-TSR) targets are met and maintained. Moreover you will develop specific Segment business plans for your responsible scope of business and secure that supplier selection is aligned with these plans.
Responsibilities
• Be an active member in the global network of Commodity buyers
• Contribute to Segment strategies/Segment business plans
• Secure that supplier selection is aligned with the Segment strategy/Segment business plan
• Secure the outcome of the sourcing in a contractual package, and that all agreements are approved and signed
• Execute agreements with suppliers during production and after production for relevant segments
• Drive needed activities to assess supplier performance and deliveries according to QDCF-TSR for serial production and service parts business
• Forecast product cost evolution and report progress according to targets
• Manage and negotiate product/processes changes during production phase, and after production phase for relevant segments
• Perform daily purchasing activities related to production orders, logistics and financial flows to the suppliers
• Drive supply chain delivery and optimization
• Monitor, identify and mitigate supplier risks in terms of Quality and Delivery
• Manage supplier crisis situations
The preferred location of this position is Lyon or Gothenburg.

Qualifications
• University degree in Business, Engineering or related field and or equivalent experience
• 3-5 years' experience in Purchasing and/or extensive negotiation experience with a supplier/customer relationship
• Business acumen
• Motivated by change management and ability to drive change
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
• Multicultural experience is an asset
