Job Responsibilities
Provide critical customer support to Advent Software's 220 EMEA financial services industry clients in 32 countries by resolving various customer inquiries via web, e-mail and telephone. Following an extensive and formal training program, Client Support Consultants work closely with team members and other resources from within the company.
Building on a candidate's strong client support and analytical skills, Advent provides 6 weeks of training which cover the securities industry, PC, database and networking technologies, and Advent's portfolio management and reporting products. All candidates are expected to pass assessment tests throughout the training as a requirement for continued employment.
Upon successful completion of the initial product certification program, candidates will be assigned to the product support team as determined by the needs of the department. The new client support consultant will join Tier 1 support on that team, taking incoming customer support requests and, working closely with other Tier 1 support consultants and Tier 2 Senior consultants, will resolve customer incidents in a manner and timeframe consistent with department and team service levels and goals. A front line support consultant usually manages and average of 15 to 20 support requests, and has some time each week away from monitoring the incoming request for ongoing training and projects.

Qualification Requirements
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment
• Strong communication skills in English
• Superior troubleshooting and analysis / resolution skills
• Excellent organizational / multitasking skills
• Ability to manage and exceed customer expectations for support
• Ability to understand and convey client business requirements to Tier 2 and Tier 3 support teams
• Proven aptitude to learn complex technical and theoretical information in a timely manner
• Flexibility to support our clients' market hours
The following qualifications are advantageous and preferred:
• Basic knowledge of the financial industry
• Basic GUI (MS Windows) navigational skills
• Education in MIS, computer science, other technical degree, economics, business management, or finance
• Experience with complex domestic/foreign financial instruments
• Previous technical support experience
• Prior experience with client/server applications and relational databases (MS SQL, Sybase, Oracle)
• Good communication skills in Arabic, French or one Scandinavian language (Swedish, Danish or Norwegian)
