About the role as Chief Project Manager
As the Chief Project Manager, you will lead a small team of driven Project Managers, based in Sweden and in the USA. Your role will involve supporting the team and ensuring that project deliveries to Mentice customers are of high quality, efficiencient, and profitable. As Mentice is on a growth journey, they need to bring in a senior leader who can contribute to ensuring a good interaction between RD, Sales and the Project Department. In practice, the role means that you will both work closely with internal stakeholders (RD, Sales and Logistics) and external stakeholders (Customers) to ensure that Mentice creates the best possible conditions for success in every project.
The projects meet unique customer needs and contain both software and hardware.
The team of project managers has great drive and potential and is now looking for a leader who can contribute to lifting them and Mentice to the next level! You will report to the COO and be part of the COO's management team.
Your main tasks:
• Ensure qualitative project deliveries of software and hardware solutions in a resource- and cost-effective manner.
• Coach, lead and develop the team of project managers and enhance the ways of working.
• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the quality of the project deliveries.
About you
To be a good fit for this role, you have extensive experience from running projects with overall responsibility for quality, budget and a team. You are motivated by being close to the business and collaborating with sales and other internal and external stakeholders to achieve cost-effective and qualitative solutions. You are also used to working with projects within Software, if you also have the combination with hardware, that is meritorious. As the role involves a large international network of contacts, it is also important that you are fluent in English. Previous experience or an interest in Medtech is seen as meritorious.
On a personal level, we see that you possess strong leadership experience with the ability to build, as well as, develop your teams! You have good communication skills and are used to dealing with many different internal and external stakeholders. You enjoy both analytical and strategic tasks while simultaneously having have the ability to switch gears and handle operational tasks and act as a problem solver and drive your work and that of others forward.
Important for the role:
• Experience of taking on a business responsibility and great interest in the business aspects and thrives in the dialogue with the customer.
• Solid experience in running projects with overall responsibility for quality and finance.
• Experience in software product development.
• Fluent in Swedish and English.
Meritorious:
• Experience from Medtech.
• Experience in hardware development.
