We are now looking for a Chief Operating Officer to join Nasdaq Clearing. Nasdaq Clearing is a multi-asset clearing house approved by the Swedish FSA (SFSA) as a central counterparty under the European Market Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR). In addition to Commodities derivatives, Nasdaq Clearing offers clearing of Equity, Index and Fixed Income Derivatives in the Nordic Markets.

As a Chief Operating Officer you will be a part of the Nasdaq Clearing team and guarantee Nasdaq Clearing's compliance to FSA rules and regulations in regards of IT, BCP, Operations and Outsourcing, etc., as well as to other regulatory authorities rules.

Key Responsibilities:

* You will be responsible for the daily operation of Nasdaq Clearing and report to the CEO.
* Oversee service delivery from Business Operations and outsourcing agreement with the operational providers.
* Act as escalation point within CCP Management for technical and operational incidents.
* Ensure that written policies and procedures are in place regarding all aspects that fall within the remit of the Operation. This is to evidence compliance with regulations as well as to ensure staff is clear about their responsibilities and actions they can or should take.

Education, Professional accomplishments, and Certifications

* Degree qualified in Computer Science, Business/Finance or related discipline.
* Experience required: 10+ years Skills, Requirements and Competencies
* Demonstrates expert understanding of assigned customer's successes, challenges, and strategic objectives; draws from experience and significant financial acumen to evaluate solutions from the business' perspective and provide advice regarding potential opportunities and risks.
* Negotiates with senior management, customers, regulators or vendors to influence decisions.
* Remain informed about trends and advances in the clearing field.
* Thorough and effective.

On a personal level, we expect that you would have high developed social competence and strong communication skills. It will be essential for you to take responsibility and be able to handle pressured situations. Furthermore you need to have integrity and be ambitious. This is a full time position located in Stockholm, Sweden. Desired start date is as soon as possible. As the process is ongoing, please submit your application in English as soon as possible.
