To our office in Gothenburg we are looking for two Category Purchasing Managers.
Valmet in Gothenburg engineers, produces and delivers recovery boilers and evaporation plants for the pulp and paper industry and environmentally friendly power and heat boilers for technically demanding fuels.
In this position you will, under minimum supervision, be responsible for assuring the continuous supply of assigned components, in order to maintain the required production levels at optimum cost consistent with quality and quantity specifications.
The job as Category Purchasing Manager is carried out in two main phases; the Sales phase and the Execution phase.
During the Sales phase you will utilize category strategies and create a total cost efficient supply plan covering the external spending within the assigned project whilst securing that all customer needs and requirements are taken into consideration. In this phase you will identify currency, legal and tax requirements that impact Supply in order to create a total cost and risk scenario analysis supporting the selected supply strategy.
As the project proceeds into the Execution phase you will be responsible for ensuring that the utilization of the specific supply plan takes place according to schedule and budget as well as continually report the supply plan to stake holders. The role will also involve establishing project specific contract templates in collaboration with a limited range of suppliers to cover special project needs.
Requirements:
To succeed in this position it is necessary with extensive experience in handling complex project processes within the area of Purchasing simultaneously. A University degree in finance and/or technology and additional education/training within supply management or corresponding competence, along with several years of work experience in an international project business is crucial to succeed in the role.
With your good communication and interpersonal skills you are able to build and keep up good relationships with both external and internal clients. Good command of both Swedish and English language is essential in this position.
