Our customer is now looking for the right person to fill the position as Category manager in IT Procurement, reporting to the Head of IT Procurement in the procurement unit Customers, Markets & Staff.
In today's challenging market conditions, our customer ability to reduce costs is more crucial than ever. Procurement is one of the fundamental levers to reduce costs and maximize the value we get from our capital and operational expenditures.

What your days will be like?
As Category manager in Procurement you will perform international sourcing and vendor management, mainly for SW and services within the IT category. Your goal will be to realize ambitious outcome in terms of customer value, cost reduction and risk mitigation by addressing important part of the IT category spend, in total approx. 250M¬. You will also function as the SPOC for appointed part of our customer business and suppliers, driving the procurement planning and business dialogue process, working closely with colleagues within the same categories. You will participate in establishing supply strategies which accurately reflect business priorities and supply market dynamics sponsored by internal stakeholders. You will ensure implementation of best practice across relations and/or categories of spend plan, follow-up, report and secure needed actions.
As Category manager you will have the following key responsibilities:
• To develop a distinct sourcing strategy for IT needs
• Work closely together with IT and business units internationally, to fulfill procurement needs
• To ensure that goods and/or services are sourced and delivered at best total cost of ownership available to our customer on the supplier market (Quality/Service/Technology/Price)
• To ensure that the value for our customer stays at the high level or increases throughout the valid period of the contracts, through vendor management mitigating risks and manage compliance
• Focusing optimization of existing solutions /supplier base and specific vendors, including how business is using them (spend management), but not excluding new need of supply/new solutions. Supporting in the "make or buy" decisions and outsourcing of non-competitive advantage areas
• Drive cost reductions in IT-category cross-country.

Qualifications and Experience

We are looking for a Category manager in Procurement who has a relevant University degree (or equal), with a minimum of three years relevant work experience in a similar position. Experienced in leading change in a large international organization. Your command of Swedish and English is strong, both verbally and written. Knowledge of German language is an advantage. Frequent travel required.
Your personal characteristics:
• Solid understanding of IT category and supplier market, like digitalization, and Sourcing and Vendor management
• Project management skills and experience of dealing with stakeholders and important suppliers internationally
• Ability to simplify complexity and to identify "the 20% of the scope that drives 80% of the results"
• Performance and result oriented
• Strong analytical, commercial and negotiation skills
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Team player who actively engages people by asking, sharing, helping or asking for help
• Strong credibility built through both business insight and leadership
• Pro-active, self-sufficient and transparent
