About the job
MAN Cryo's Calculation and Material group is currently looking for a Calculation Engineer to join us in our Gothenburg office. We would like you to take the main responsibility for pipe analysis but also want you to perform structural analyzes by FEM and other duties to support other departments of the company in matters of strength and material. You will be part of ambitious and professional teams in different roles and work alongside different projects in the same time. The office in Gothenburg contains, up to now, 2 people that is specialist in Calculation Engineering, meaning you will play a significant part in the team that adds great and important knowledge in the projects. The office in Gothenburg are a team of about 75 employees today.
Job responsibilities
• Verification of structures (pressure vessels, pipe systems, beam structures)
• Pipe analysis (Caepipe / Rohr2)
• FE analysis (FEMAP / Nastran)
• Norm calculation (Mathcad)
• Support for Designers
• Support for Purchasing and Manufacturing
• Write material specifications
• Contact with third-party reviewers, customers and other departments at MAN Cryo on strength and material issues.
Qualifications
• Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Physics or Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of experience in FE analysis and preferably of pipe analysis according to norm
• Evaluation of welded steel structures
• Work in project form
• Fluent in Swedish and English (company language)
