The section CAE Vehicle and Body NVH is a part of the NVH (Noise, Vibration and Harshness) Center in the Product Development area at Volvo Car Corporation.
The NVH Center has the responsibilty to ensure that the attribute Noise, Vibration and Solidity is supported in the vehicle programs, both in terms of customer requirements and legal requirements.
Within the CAE section we have the responsibility for both Vehilce NVH and Body NVH from a complete vehicle perspective in car program and Advanced Engineering. The team members work integrated in projects in all phases, contributing with analysis and guidelines to improve the NVH attribute in our cars.
In addition, continuous improvement of the capability to carry out
predictions to enable more extensive virtual analysis is performed.
CAE Vehicle NVH imply computing the complete vehicle (chassis, driveline and body), to analyze occupants responses due to mainly engine or road loads.
CAE Body NVH imply computing the trimmed body (a complete vehicle without suspension and powertrain), to analyze fulfilment of cascaded body system targets.
The section CAE Vehicle and Body NVH is now looking for a CAE engineer to strengthen the deliverables from the team.
Job Description: NVH CAE analysis with focus on Body NVH
Participate in car program teams and communicate analysis results and guide the design work from an NVH perspective
Participate in the requirement setting of the NVH attribute at system level
Participate in the development of improved or new methods, models
Participate in implementation of new software / hardware
Qualifications:
M. Sc. Engineer
Fluent in English, written and spoken
At least 2 years experience of CAE analysis
Skilled in Vehicle Technology
Also desireable is:
Competencies in structural dynamics and acoustics
Skilled in :
NVH CAE analysis using FEM
Softwares such as ANSA, Nastran and Matlab
Knowledge in:
The design area of Body and Trim
Personal Profile:
Analytical capabilities
Good interpersonal skills
Good communication skills
Have customer focus and drives for result
Ability to work independently
