The role:
The Vehicle Structure team is looking for a consultant with responsibility for components within the Glass and Roof team. The Vehicle Structure team is a part of the Global Platform Team within Procurement. You will be part of an ambitious and result-driven team of buyers located in Sweden, China, and the US and you will have the possibility to use your former experience and grow in a dynamic environment.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be managing Glass and Roof components through the whole process from the development phase and industrialization phase to the running production phase.
You will be working in a cross-functional team with other people from procurement, engineering, manufacturing, logistics, and others.
In this role, you will work with stakeholders and suppliers to understand your product/service, its market, supply base, and innovation to find ways to increase value for Volvo Cars - including cost, quality, and sustainability.
By leading negotiations and building relationships with an international supplier base, you will be responsible for the continuous improvement of the overall performance and competitiveness in the value chain.
You will also be handling order management and capacity assurance.
Do you fit the profile?
To fit in this buyer role, we look for a person, who is commercial, a true collaborator, courageous, and result-driven with 3-5 years of procurement experience and several years of negotiation skills are required for this position
You need to
have at least 3 years of experience in procurement.
have at least 3 years of experience from leading a global procurement team.
can demonstrate experience from cost reduction activities.
be a strong team player with strong collaborative skills and ensures accountability
have a strong business insight and a financial acumen
have strong influencing skills
have a strategic mindset with the possibility to builds trust
actively seeking new ways to grow with a strong internal drive
strong negotiations and commercial skills

have the ability to handle parallel projects, like challenges, and are focused on setting and reaching goals.
