The Division's Innovation function has a key role in developing new applications and solutions addressing well identified customer needs. The newly established Innovation Centre in Stockholm hosts versatile talents in research, business development and marketing working together to reach our ambitious goals.
Now we are looking for a Business Development Manager for Biobinders. Your role will be to successfully commercialize Biomaterials divisions' new products and technologies.
This is a temporary position of 1 year, with a 50% workload and extensive travelling in Europe, ca 60 days per year.
Tasks
You will lead the development of a customer base for selected business development initiatives according to set strategic objectives and critical metrics; play a meaningful role in the commercialisation of new bio adhesive products and be part of the commercialisation project team. More closely, you will:
• Identify target markets and customers
• Actively contact potential customers and manage customer relationships
• Craft market segment & customer-based value propositions, as well as industry and market assessments, including assessment of trends, value creation chain in the industry, suppliers and substitutes
• Define the pricing strategy for new products
• Identify new business opportunities and ideas from the market, helping to grow the idea pipeline.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you have a relevant academic degree, combined with a minimum of 10 years of professional experience in business development positions, including a proven track record of commercially introducing new products into the market and developing new customer bases. In addition, you have detailed understanding of the European wood adhesives industry, with good network in the respective value chains, as well as excellent and proven business development skills. Technical understanding of wood adhesive products is a strong plus. You have experience of working with innovation processes and initiatives and the ability to work with multiple business development initiatives and end use segments according to the need.
You are proficient in both spoken and written English; additional language skills are an advantage. Your strong customer focus and eye for business is strengthened by your good negotiation skills, committed leadership and strong interest in building new businesses for biomaterials. You are a collaborative teammate, with excellent communication, networking and intercultural skills. You are proud of your ability to build structure, prioritise and plan work, and you are ready to travel and visit customers as needed.
