We are proud of the Arctic Business Incubator, which has supported and developed several successful companies from the start. Now we are looking for a committed colleague who wants to be involved in creating the Skellefteå region's next successful companies, like its predecessors Envigas, Once Upon and Mindforce Game Lab. As our new Business Advisor, you will make people and companies grow.
More about the role
You will meet people with extraordinary ideas and companies who need help to realize their visions or support in developing their companies. You will work in a field with wide tasks; from financing to commercialization of products, marketing and leading workshops to giving presentations.
An important part of the role is to approach startups in Skellefteå and surrounding areas, create good business relations and in a structured way process and support the companies on their journey forward. The Artic Business team consists of other business advisors and specialists in finance, IPR, marketing and recruitment. Together with your colleagues in Skellefteå - Magnus and Conny - you will be based at our new Campus Skellefteå office, close to both university and companies. Traveling will occur, primarily within Västerbotten but also nationally and occasionally international.
Your profile
It's important that you are business oriented and can make contact and build relations with varied types of partners such as entrepreneurs, universities, business enterprises, venture capitalists and municipalities. To meet the needs of the entrepreneurs and support their development, you need to enjoy working in a structured way according to the methods that Arctic Business uses. You also need to possess good analytical skills as you will evaluate various business ideas and in the long run be able to take on the role as a senior advisor.
Arctic Business is closely linked to Luleå University of Technology and works with proven processes and models, so it is an advantage if you have academic education and experience in technology, sales or marketing. Preferable you have previous experience of personnel responsibility or have run your own business. Fluent English in speech and writing is a requirement since we work in an international environment.

Since 2005, Arctic Business has worked with over 170 companies, which today are valued at over SEK 2 billion and employ 370+ people full time. We are staffed in Luleå, Piteå and Skellefteå at each science park. Our owners are LTU Holding, Norrlandsfonden, Region Norrbotten, Luleå Municipality, Skellefteå Industrihus and Piteå Municipality.
