Job Information
The main objective for a Build & Release Engineer at R&D is to make sure that the Continuous Delivery Pipeline runs smoothly and that every release that we do is a success.
This also makes the position one of the most versatile and challenging positions at R&D. It requires a person who has the skills to handle people, information and technology in an excellent and responsible way.
The Build & Release Engineer works throughout the entire development and release process, collaborating with everyone involved to ensure high-quality and on-demand releases. Our goal is to have an automated, on-demand release process and only have evergreen installations.
Your key responsibilities:
• Setup, improve and maintain the Continuous Delivery Pipeline.
• Support the development teams with tools, practices and knowledge regarding the Continuous Delivery Pipeline.
• Assemble and present data and information from both production environments and components of the Continuous Delivery Pipeline.
• Assess product quality and performance risks in order prevent defects to be delivered to production environments.
• Manage and control the release process together with the Release Train Engineer.
• Make sure that every release meets the defined Definition of Done and, if so, execute the release.
• Organize and coordinate release schedules together with the product management.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and Marketing around release information and release notes.

• A passionate technology freak who loves problem solving.
• A service-minded team player who wants to interact with many different people to reach common goals.
• Fluent in both English and Swedish.
We want you to have:
• Higher education within Software Science.
• At least 2-3 years of experience from Continuous Integration and Deployment.
• Strong programming skills in .Net and various scripting languages, primarily PowerShell.
• Firm experience from CI/CD-tools like TeamCity, Octopus and Azure DevOps.
It's great if you also have:
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies like SAFe and Scrum.
• Experience from test automation and testing software.
