We are recruiting for a Biological Evaluation Specialist in our Design & Development department.
In this role you will help Cochlear to realise its mission by making biological evaluations for new and existing products, as well as process changes, contributing with knowledge and work efforts within the sterilization area in general and also reprocessing of reusable instruments.

As a regulated company, Cochlear has a responsibility to hire people with the right skills and qualifications to do the work. To add value to Cochlear in this role you'll be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
Demonstrated experience of:
• Biological evaluations; assessments, report writing, development of process
• PhD Microbiology, or equivalent, or work experience within the area
Knowledge of Biocompatibility EN 10993 series.
Knowledge of ISO 13485 Medical Devices - Quality Management Systems - Requirements for regulatory purposes.
Knowledge of FDA Quality System Regulation 21 CFR Part 820.
Knowledge within the sterilization area.
Capability to work with reprocessing of reusable instruments/tools.
Fluent in English.
Computer experience of commonly used Microsoft programs.
