Open positions within CAE
Vicura uses state-of-the-art simulation technologies to feed our front-loaded development process with high quality results to enable reliable decision making early in our development projects. Our Simulation and Testing department consists of 15 experienced simulation and testing engineers, which we now seek to re-enforce in the following disciplines.
Structure Mechanics (Beräkningsingenjör Hållfastighet)
Structure Mechanics of transmissions using FEM includes everything from complete transmission system models with flexible bodies, down to detailed component analysis. Experience in fatigue analysis, complex contacts, structural optimization, and mechanical systems with flexible bodies are strong merit. We prefer to use Abaqus, FE Safe, Optistruct and Hypermesh.
System Mechanics (Beräkningsingenjör Systemmekanik)
We analyze mechanics of complex dynamic systems in all relevant aspects. We have 1D system models for everything from fuel economy simulations and torsional driveline dynamics (vibrations and shock loads) to shift quality, transmission plant models for control software development, and transmission efficiency models. In the 3D world, we analyze radiated noise due to gear whine and gear rattle, rotor dynamics, global bending modes, etc. Our tools are LMS VirtualLab, LMS AmeSim and Matlab/Simulink.
We are looking for competence within the above fields, from automotive or other business areas. As a Simulation Engineer at Vicura you will be involved all the way from early concept selection to industrialization and product support. You will be working in close collaboration with Mechanical Design and/or Controls, in product development teams or together with or customers. You are also responsible for further development of our methods and tools, which is done in collaboration with leading universities.
General requirements
• M.Sc. degree or higher
• Minimum three years of working experience in one of the above disciplines
• Fluent in English
• A strong interest in both product development and in the further development of our methods and tools
• Experience from relevant simulation software, mentioned above.
• Outgoing and customer oriented.
Experience from transmission development is a merit. We welcome female applicants and it is a plus if you live in, or are willing to move to, Trollhättan.
