PodMe is growing, we are taking the next steps toward becoming a household brand. With some of the best podcasts in the industry, we now need to double down on the experience of listening to podcasts.
About the role:
As a backend engineer for the Listener Experience team at PodMe, you will together with your team be responsible for the backend microservices and infrastructure that is the foundation of our listening experience. You will be a part of an agile well-functioning team of developers to push ideas all the way to implementation and evaluation.
Your main stakeholders are our listeners and in addition to this, you will also have a close collaboration with the cross-functional backend team. You will report to an Engineering manager (who reports to the CTO).
Teams info:
In the Listener Experience domain, we need to strengthen both our platform and subscription teams. While the teams are having different focus areas they still work closely together to both align on the best ways on building backend systems and also to help each other out when needed.
The platform team is focusing on our core microservices and infrastructure which is the foundation of PodMe.
The subscriptions team focuses on conversion. Building integrations to PSP and growth hacking features to give our customers the best possible way into PodMe.
Tech stack:

Responsibilities:

You have a solid technical background which enables you to effectively build solutions that scale. We value active listeners and great communication very highly. Since you will be a part of a diverse team, you are also a social person, curious about others, and like teamwork. And most likely, you are not a stranger to podcasts.
- Relevant academic background
