Purpose of position
To provide continual opportunity for operations to fulfil their work requirements, and to provide a safe and meaningful work-life environment.
Lead automation and improvement processes within the field of the Automation department aligned with overall business strategy.
Ensure that the department is planning and being proactive in strategic forward thinking for cost effective and efficient solutions.
Ensure the department works systematically with sustainability, health, environment, and safety.
Ensure budgets are planned, submitted, and once approved followed.

• Create work instructions, annual planning calendar and review SOPs as required.
Position related responsibility
· Responsible for delivery quality within the framework of SLA, UPH
• Responsible for improvement work within efficiency and development of Automated equipment and processes.
• Responsible for the health and safety of employees utilizing equipment.
• Lead change work linked to the site's overall plan together with the department.
• Share in Management Group Work
Task assignment
· Together with Site's subordinate managers (stakeholders), manage and lead the development of improvement within Automation.
• Partake in talks with Trade union negotiations as required.
• Create and disseminate information to relevant stakeholders, SOPs.
• Ensure all maintenance tasks are carried out, documented and KPI reports.
• Other duties delegated by the Automation and Facilities Manager.
Authority
· Make decisions about improvements in ongoing operations.
• Make suggestions to the department's long-term development.
• Decide necessary work environment measures.
• Plan your own work in detail.
